Went down to Wales on Saturday for another show on the Robin Black tour. Gotta say the show was pretty poorly attended, only about 50 people in there, and at least half of them weren't even from Wales.
The venue itself, MS1, wasn't too bad, the sound quality was actually pretty good. MS1's location is about a mile out of the city centre, in a little 'ghost town' away from everything. The Robin Black show wasn't even listed on their website, so I'm guessing what little rock crowd Cardiff has, didn't even know about the show. Andii, you weren't wrong about the Wales rock scene being non-existent. I didn't even see Pepsi driving a cab!
Thanks to Seb, Sophie, Jim and Luke of Freewheeler for looking after me this weekend. Had a great time at the Toxic Twins show on Friday too. I've put some Freewheeler pics online at;

I'll look forward to seeing you chaps back in London next weekend with Robin Black.

I'm not too worried about seeing the Quireboys this time around, I saw them with Alice Cooper last year and they were 'ok'. Depends who supports them though. I could be swung

Just been making the most of my time in London, and the fact that the public transport from London means I can get to just about anywhere (within reason!)

If I ever come back there!! lol
You should get your arse up here. I can't believe how deserted that Cardiff Bay area was. There was a few of us that had some beers in the Bute Dock Hotel. They didn't seem too impressed, but that was probably Wiggy and his mates fault, cos they got to Cardiff at lunchtime and got 'refused service' in one or two places during the day, allegedly, lol.
Another pub down the road from the MS1, can't remember the name, had some 60s Motown Roadshow on, and the DJ looked like Charles Bronson. There was about 2 or 3 'women' (in the loosest possible terms) in there, and about 30 geezers with stripey shirts and shaved heads. I thought I'd stumbled into a gay bar, hahaha.
